Our doors will be open between 11am and 2pm on Sunday 21st August for the opportunity to:
see our events and activity spaces
meet a range of our user groups to see the many groups and classes that take place through the week here and talk to group leaders
see live event demos from our groups showcasing what they do and get involved
talk to our team about our spaces and how we can help you plan your event, celebration or new group
visit the onsite preschool and meet the team
enjoy a sit down and refreshments in our bar area and function rooms

Do you want to grab a bargain or sell your unwanted items? Declutter and help your local churches?
From baby items to books, clothes to coffee mugs all items welcome as well as crafters and charities.
Free entry for those look to buy with refreshments on sale raising funds to support St. Mary Magdalene, Hucknall and St John's Church Hucknall

We’re Good To Go – at the John Godber Centre
The John Godber Centre has successfully applied for the “We’re Good to Go” Industry Standard accreditation from Visit England.
“We’re Good To Go” is the official UK mark to signal that a tourism and hospitality business has worked hard to follow Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines and has a Risk Assessment and processes in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.
The industry standard is a way of letting customers know which businesses have made necessary changes to their day-to-day workings, including social distancing measures and staff training and provide a ‘ring of confidence’ for all sectors as well ...

Bishop Tony Porter blesses our recent refurbishment
We had a very special visitor on Sunday 17th November in the shape of Bishop Tony Porter from the Diocese of Southwell and Nottinghamshire.
Bishop Tony kindly blessed the Centre-wide developments we have undertaken to date as part of our ongoing five year refurbishment plan. Starting with one of our most recent commitments, the first floor commercial kitchen, Bishop Tony shared the following words:

July Jumble Sale 2018
Come along to our Jumble Sale which is held on the first Friday of each month.
A busy community event, all money raised goes to support the church and the John Godber Centre. Over 60 volunteers help run this event and new helpers are always welcome.
