Did you know?
The room takes its name from Victorian bare knuckle boxer Benjamin Caunt
, after whom the famous bell Big Ben is reputedly named. Ben Caunt became the Heavyweight Champion of England and had an international career, before retiring and becoming a publican at the Coach and Horses pub at St. Martin's Lane, Westminster, London. He is buried, along with his children, in a grave on the North side of St Mary Magdalene church, next door to the Centre.
