Celebration Parties
The John Godber Centre is an ideal venue to host your next celebration event - birthday party, engagement party or wedding anniversary.

Whatever the size of your event we have a range of rooms and facilities to suit all your needs, including a large main hall, two ground floor rooms (which can also be combined as a suite), and two licenced bar areas. You will also benefit from our in-house dedicated team who take the utmost care in the preparation and execution of each of our events.

You can be as creative as you want to with our blank canvas rooms but we have also tailored a number of packages to suit everyone's tastes and budgets.


Ground Floor Celebration Party Packages

Byron
The Byron is the perfect setting for smaller celebrations with use of the downstairs Byron's Bar for drinks and access to the private patio area. The Byron and Byron's Bar can accommodate up to 50 people for a celebration event. In addition to the Byron's Bar, the Lovelace room can be hired as an additional space for buffets to be served, or for extra seating.

Byron Suite
The Byron Suite can accommodate up to 100 people. Located on the ground floor, it combines the Byron and Bailey rooms into one large room. The Byron Suite is the perfect setting for medium celebration events, with use of Byron's Bar for drinks and access to a private patio area at the side of the building.

The Centre's Terms and Conditions apply to all packages booked including a bond of £150.00 for all bookings where the bar is used.

Portland Celebration Party Packages


For larger celebrations (80+), the Portland is available with the adjoining Ben's Bar area and direct access from the car park. The Portland benefits from a large stage to add a unique touch to your celebration event and is ideal for bands and DJs. The Portland can hold up to 200 guests for a celebration event.

The John Godber Centre is a licensed venue and therefore all drinks must be purchased from the Centres bars and as such the venue does not offer dry hire or corkage options
