Defibrillator purchased for community venue thanks to funds raised by Hucknall U3A plus generosity of an anonymous donor. The John Godber Centre is pleased to share that a portable defibrillator has been purchased to be used in the community venue at the heart of Hucknall. From Friday 10th December as a community venue the wearing of face coverings by the public, and staff in public facing areas, will be mandatory in the John Godber Centre unless exempt. Copying previous advice - people are expected to wear a face covering BEFORE entering a community building and must keep it on UNTIL they leave (and have exited the building) unless there is a reasonable excuse for removing it. 2022 Hucknall Beer Festival Update - event postponement until July With great sadness we advise that the 2022 Hucknall Beer Festival will not take place in February as it normally does. The event was planned for the weekend of the 10th-13th February 2022 however, having continued to monitor news and updates relating to COVID-19, the planning group feel there are too many uncertainties and risks at the current time to go ahead in the new year. Our inside or capacity sadly can't increase as and when we'd like it to and our Portland Room space has a maximum capacity (for fire safety), which is significantly less than the current online petition.
