What’s On, Events Guides and Booking updates….

Our news feed headlines were looking a bit doom and gloomy so we wanted to post something a little more cheery, not just COVID related and event postponements.

We’re looking forward to the festive period and our what’s on and events guides have been updated with all the latest artwork and details.

If you’re looking for a new group, class or hobby take a look at our things to do page where you’ll find all the contact details and times of the many wonderful groups and classes that take place here at the John Godber Centre on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.
We host everything from baby groups to social groups, weight management to fitness, dance to drama and so much more in-between.
Can’t find what you’re looking for and want to start your own? Get in touch with our Centre Manager Kim who can talk you through our availability, rooms, facilities and rates. We also offer discounts for charity and community groups.

Our What’s on page lists all the upcoming events such as theatre productions, live entertainment, socials and craft fairs. This calendar isn’t our bookings diary so where you see gaps that doesn’t mean we’re quiet it just means there’s no public events happening, we’ll still be busy hosting parties, weddings, christenings or events.
If you’re holding an activity or event here and wish us to add it to the page please send us the artwork and details and we’ll get it added to the website for you.
Some events and activities may be for private groups or businesses so may not be listed (ie the Hucknall U3A or training providers)

If you’re looking for a venue for your next celebration or event get in touch with us to discuss your plans. We have a number of rooms and facilities available for hire and we’d love to help with your next event. Whether an intimate family gathering or a large celebration we’d love to help and our team know how to host a great event. We’d always recommend email or messages via the website contact page as the best way to get in touch. Our duty managers are busy bees and here there and everywhere around the building looking after customers, preparing for events and ensuring everything is running smoothly so we’re not always office based to answer the phone. If you do call please leave a voice message so we can call you back, we know it’s frustrating to call and not get through, we’re not ignoring the phone we’re just making sure everything is perfect in the building and don’t want you to give up.
We may email back at strange times as we’re open until 30 minutes after the last booking of the day so our hours aren’t traditional 9-5 but we’d love to help with your booking so hope to hear from you.

The John Godber Centre has been here for over 115 years as a place for the people of Hucknall to meet and socialise and we love being here for all of the above incredible things.
