We’re Good To Go
The John Godber Centre has successfully applied for the “We’re Good to Go” Industry Standard accreditation from Visit England.
“We’re Good To Go” is the official UK mark to signal that a tourism and hospitality business has worked hard to follow Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines and has a Risk Assessment and processes in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.
The industry standard is a way of letting customers know which businesses have made necessary changes to their day-to-day workings, including social distancing measures and staff training and provide a ‘ring of confidence’ for all sectors as well as reassurance to visitors.
Display of the Green Tick marketing material within the venue, on our website and social media pages, shows that we’ve read and implemented the Government’s COVID-19 reopening guidance, understand the guidance from Public Health England, and have a COVID-19 Risk Assessment in place.
For our venue the industry standard included questions specific to conference and business event venues, and is designed to reassure business events organisers and delegates that the venue is adhering to Government guidelines on social distancing, cleanliness and contact tracing. We also included plans for our wedding events for when we are able to resume wedding receptions as part of the application.

Unannounced spot checks will happen throughout the recovery period and reviews as new guidance is released are likely.
