More refurbishment

  • Refurbishment of the Main Hall at the John Godber Centre

The Main Hall and Byron Suite are the latest rooms at the John Godber Centre to receive the refurbishment treatment this week.

New skirting, replastering of some untidy wall finishes and repainting will all take place this week, and be finished and ready for use by the weekend.

Part of a five year refurbishment plan, these latest works are designed to freshen up the look and feel of a building which is over 110 years old – the lasting legacy of Revd. Canon John Godber who, along with parishioners from the local community, financed the building of the Centre on land donated by the Duke of Portland.

Whether you’re a regular Centre user, haven’t popped in for quite some time, or can only remember it from many years gone by, why not drop in now and check out just what a change has been achieved recently – you’ll be more than pleasantly surprised!
