Thank you to those who fed back that they want to join us but due to school holiday dates its not possible.\nWe look forward to hosting the event later in 2024 \nOur Rainbow Disco is back for 2024\, Make sure to book you tickets! 🌈 \nWe all worry about things that are beyond our control and how others will respond to us\, to our loved ones.\nIf we can be a bit more kinder\, if we can have a little more understanding for others\, we’ll be making the world a little better for someone else.\nIn someone’s dark moments let’s be the shine\, let’s show them support and kindness\, let’s show the world everyone should be proud of who they are and feel safe about it. \nWe’re proud to be hosting our rainbow disco party once more on Sunday 28th July.\nWe were so humbled by the stories of individuals\, parents\, and loved ones last time we ran this event and are looking forward to our festival of colour this July on Nottingham Pride weekend. \n❤️Our disco party is the bringing together of everyone to celebrate the love and pride in our town and community.\n🧡Tickets are £2 and can be purchased by contacting the John Godber Centre (email reception@johngodbercentre.co.uk or call 0115 963 9633)\n💛Our licenced bar is open for drinks and snacks but do feel free to bring your own picnics if you wish.\n💚Feel free to wear something bright or with rainbows or dress as you want to.\n💙There will be games\, crafts\, quizzes and fun as well as music to enjoy.\n💜This event is for all ages including children. \nWe look forward to seeing you there. \nSo many events\, one great venue 💜 \n#community #pride #nottinghampride #eventsvenue #hucknall #pride2024

DESCRIPTION:International Day of older people (which officially falls on the 1st October) is about how older people play an integral part in strengthening the social fabric of our communities; as workers\, carers\, volunteers\, activists and connectors.\n\nJoin us on Friday 26th September from 12pm – 3pm to celebrate International Day of Older People\n\nThe event is being coordinated by Preferred Homes\, who are currently developing affordable extra care apartments for over 55s on Watnall Road\, which are due for completion in Spring 2026 and the John Godber Centre are delighted to be an event partner and co-host this community event.\n\nWe hope this event can celebrate and promote the connections and activities that we all provide for our local older community and will feature –\n* A number of community stalls promoting activities and community groups that take place in the Hucknall area\n* Pop-up performances from musicians and singers across the area\n* Enjoy the refreshment area with free tea\, coffee and biscuits and a catchup with others\n* Find out more about Preferred Homes new Extra Care Apartments\n\nFurther information will be shared ahead of the event but please do put the date in your calendar now and come join us to see what happens in the local area for you to get involved in and enjoy an afternoon celebration.\nThe event is free to attend and you can register your interest to attend by scanning the QR code or calling Diane on  07833 992 401.\n\nAnyone interested in a stall to promote their community organisation and activities to celebrate their relation to everything later in life can contact Anna Franks on – anna@annafranksmarketing.com
